About District Voices

District Voices of Escondido is a newsletter to share information on the 3 school districts located in Escondido: Escondido Union, Escondido Union High School, and San Pasqual Union. This site is community led and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these school districts.

District Voices is also a platform to amplify the voices of parents, students, educators, staff and volunteers directly connected to our district run schools in Escondido through news, stories and events from our schools.

Are you involved with a district school in Escondido?
We want to hear from you! Whether you are a student, family member, employee or volunteer in one of Escondido’s public school districts’ schools, and you have a story you want to share, let us know! Is there a teacher, volunteer, afterschool program or event you want others to know about, let us know!

In the coming months, District Voices will:

  • Share news and events from school sites across all 3 districts

  • Spotlight outstanding students, teachers, volunteers, and programs in these districts

  • Provide information on where, when and how to attend school board meetings and how to provide public comment

  • Report on agenda items from board meetings

  • Share content from students, staff, families and volunteers

  • Provide information on the budget process and California education code

  • Amplify the voices of students, families, and district employees beyond public comments during board meetings

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and never miss an update.

People

I am a parent of 3 public school students with a background in software engineering and data science. I want to make it easy for parents to stay informed about our districts and schools even if they can't attend board meetings.
